Why Brain Spring Learning?

As a mother who has tried a number of different approaches to tutor or train her learning disabled kids, I have come to appreciate the difficulty of going it alone with your own kids. On the other hand, I have also dealt with the inconvenience and expense of transporting my kids to various learning centers or therapies. That is why I find the Student Transformation System™ to be such a great solution.

We start with a quick online assessment to identify where the weakest links are, and interpret the results for you. Then we use research-based, recognized brain-training software that has helped thousands of students, either BrainSkills or BrainWare Safari, depending on the age and needs of your child. Your child uses this at home for 12 weeks on a regular schedule that is convenient for your family, so you won't be expending the time, energy, and expense of commuting anywhere. If necessary, you work with your child to make sure he or she is completing the exercises and to help with any problems in understanding the instructions.

But remember, I know how challenging it can be to get your own child to work on something regularly, especially as it becomes more difficult, no matter how engaging the games might be. Brain training requires commitment of an hour a day, five days per week, if you are to see the results you are hoping for. If you were to just purchase brain training software, it would be totally up to you to keep the child on track and help them with any difficulties, in order to get the maximum benefit from the program. That is why the Student Transformation System™ includes weekly coaching sessions. At those sessions we review the software-generated reports on how your child is progressing with the software, address any difficulties, and make sure the program is being used to its maximum advantage. This helps keep everything on track, and adds the discipline that comes from having an external teacher. You won't be alone.

During the first six weeks, you will also be determining your primary goals of the program, and getting input from the teacher(s) as to their perceptions of your child's strengths and weaknesses. After week six of the brain training, we will begin to expand the coaching sessions with additional avenues of remediation focused on your goal. These could include online instruction, homework assistance, tips and tricks, or other exercises. As the program winds down in the twelfth week, we will reassess your child, check back with the teacher(s) for observations of any changes they have noticed in your child, and also have a final session to review all the results and determine whether there are additional steps you'd like to take.

I wish there had been a Brain Spring Learning when I was experiencing some of the frustrations and challenges you are facing now. I am confident that we can succeed in helping your child move forward. I want to support you on that journey, and celebrate with you when you start to see the progress you've been searching for. I founded Brain Spring Learning to help kids and their families, and I hope to have the opportunity to help you.
